If I could have one thing…

Queue on Flickr (via gadl)Still home from work, sick, sinuses in full melt-down. This’ll be short and sweet.

I just finished reading over Mark Jacobs’ latest post about the Call to Arms Live Expansion over on the VN Boards (thanks to Zizlak for linking to that, or I never would have seen it), and I have to say I’m quite excited about Mythic’s roadmap for the game over the next few months. Their vision for a spiritual successor to Dark Age of Camelot’s Darkness Falls RvR dungeon will be a great kick in the pants to a game where I find a lot of people are fluttering around Tier 4 wondering what to do.

But for me, there’s one little thing above all others that I think would make me happy. It’s not even a big deal, not a bugfix, not a revamp of the mail system or auction house (although those would be nice too :), and not a class balance issue. No, it’s just one little request.

I spend a lot of time in Order’s capital city on my 40 Warrior Priest, either trolling the auction house, crafting, chatting, organizing events/raids, or running the city dungeons. There’s one thing that’s always bugged me about sitting in Altdorf, in any tier, and it nags at me incessently like a mosquito buzzing around my ear.

Please, let me queue for scenarios from Altdorf.

There. I’ve said it. I don’t know what the reasoning is for not allowing this, whether it be a gameplay or technical issue, but it would really make my day (or week, or hell, even month.) I’m not the only one who wants this, either. It seems like such a simple tweak that would in turn appease a lot of the griping in Tier 4, so it really makes me wonder what the reason is behind not allowing it…

So to conclude with my little rant/gripe/request, I’ll ask you a question. What’s the one thing that would help you enjoy the game most?

I definitely agree that we should be able to queue from IC and Altdorf.

I really wish they would make the game have more of an economy.
More stuff to buy and sell and more stuff that gold is useful for, or Auctioneers at places other than the capital city.

Yeah, I totally agree that the game’s economy could definitely use some love. Auction houses and mail refinements (as I’ve previously mentioned) would be really helpful, but crafting improvements, player housing, stuff like that would help a lot.

Player-made gear (or trophies, pocket items, etc.) would probably be too much to ask, though. :)

    Hear, hear!

I sent that feedback just a week or so after launch. When I heard they were going to let us queue for multiple scenarios, I thought for sure this would be included.

This doesn’t just hold for the capitols, either. If you’re at a crossover level (e.g., 11), you should be able to queue for the scenarios in both the lower and upper tiers. I love T1 scenarios so much, when I’m 11 and doing questing in T2, I often take a flight back to T1 just to queue for them.

Summary: You should be able to pull-up the scenario picker and see all scenarios you’re currently eligible to join, regardless of your current location.
