That title sounds a bit like an advertisement, doesn’t it? Well, I’m not getting paid a red cent for this, believe you me, but I figured I’d put it out there anyway. It’s that awesome.
You remember how I was offering suggestions to Mythic about how they could improve the mail system in WAR? Well, thanks to some random alliance chatter the other night, I came across a spectacular UI mod that takes care of a good chunk of the issues I listed. I wish I had seen this the last time I did a big WAR mods and plugins round-up, it would have topped my list. Maybe it’s time for an updated list…
Either way, let me introduce you to zMailMod. If you use the mail (or auction house) at all in WAR, you need this mod.
It slices, it dices, it batch mails, it opens multiple message at once. In general, it makes your life about 100x easier if you have any kind of regular interaction with mail… which most people do.

zMailMod adds a several options to the Mail Window and modifies the looks of the default tabs.
Features
Mass Sending
New tab MassMail tab allows to send multiple items or stacks of items to the same person with just one click. Simply enter their name and add the items. The total postage cost is shown next to the recipient’s name and time needed for sending all mails is shown below item slots. To add items to MassMail slot you can either drag them using left mouse button or use the the self defined key combination.
Mass Adding
Two optional buttons have been added (they are off by default, you need to turn them on in options). First allows to add to queue all items of specified crafting skill and second all gear of specified rarity.
Mass Opening
zMailMod adds checkboxes next to each message on Inbox and Auction tabs to allow for easy selection and ‘mass opening’. It adds buttons to select all messages and open selected messages. Every selected message is opened, money and items are taken from it and empty mail is deleted. Each processed mail is added to the Log window. You can clear the log by pressing the [R] button next to the Close button. In addition, there is one more button on the Auction tab that allows to select all messages containing money.
The only drawback I’ve noticed is that the developer seems to have taken a bit of a break from WAR due to Real Life™ commitments. This happens to everyone, but here’s hoping someone else picks up the baton and continues work on this excellent mod.
Check it out, it’s worth every virtual penny. Gotta love the mod community; nothing like 3rd parties coming up with better interfaces than the original developers.

I have no idea what I was doing. I kept sending things to my alts one by one then one day I saw this topic and said wth haven’t I installed a mail mod. Thanks for the reminder :D
Haha, glad to be of service. I kinda smacked myself upside the head for putting up with the half-assed mail system for months after I installed this. It’s a no-brainer. :)
My only worry is that eventually, Mythic is gonna do something to improve mailboxes and the like. Which will likely break zMailMod… here’s hoping whatever they decide to implement will be at least as good as this mod. ;)
