Completely off topic but...choppas and slayers are the bane of healers...both ways out.

It's impossible to keep a slayer up for more than 5 seconds if he's got 2 - 3 people beating on him and its impossible to survive a choppa more than 5 seconds (provided at least someone else is on you) since their swings delay our 1 sec TotD to a 5 sec cast and they do MASSIVE damage.

Also, the attack they use all the time has an AOE meaning they stay behind tanks and still kick your *ss. Even goes through walls. Very much like the Sorc/BW but imo more brutal.

I do find that I can jump into War quite nicely. The jumping into scenarios while questing provides a very nice change of pac to the game, which is probably why it goes into WoW shortly.

But it meets all my needs and that's good.

PS - Damm those codes are the bottom are bloody hard to read :)

@Heiki -- On the subject of WAR being more casual friendly, I think that's one of its main selling points in comparison to WoW or even Darkfall. The end-game raiding cycle in WoW is just not my style -- I can't handle having to endlessly grind the same dungeons (heroic mode or not) and raids to improve gear. It's one of the things WAR does really well; at least the end-game dungeons are (mostly) short and manageable, although Lost Vale is a little longer/tougher than the rest. The new Tomb Kings zone should be interesting to compare to what's already in the game.

And you make a good point about keeping you guys updated on my character progress. The thing is, I hadn't logged into WAR for a good 2 weeks before I left because I was so bogged down with work, and before that I was getting a little tired with the way T4 was playing out and needed a bit of a break.

I haven't checked out the final 1.2 patch at all, so I plan to login once I get home tonight or tomorrow to check out all the changes. With all the server merges, I was thinking it might be a good time to roll a Choppa on Monolith (my Destro server), with the new influx of people and all...

Pretty much dead on, WAR is much more casual friendly and in my opinion a much needed evolution for the MMO player base.

I'm certainly not saying that all MMO players are no-life nerds but the bad press WoW addicts are stirring up is a bit detrimental to the others.

When I'm meeting new people I never say right away that I enjoy MMORPGs since I know they'll immediately assume I'm a hardcore WoW player who'd sell his mother for a gametime card.

On another note...keep us updated with your chars ! I'd love to hear about your WP and Engineer since I've coincidentally (or is it ?) decided on playing the same careers as you do. And Syp.
WP is 28 and Engi 9 and I'm enjoying both a lot (although my luck on keep rolls suck).
